SUBSTANTIVE COVERAGE AND OBJECTIVES OF COURSE:
This course focuses on the important field of civil remedies for environmental and toxic harm to persons and property. The goal of the course is to reveal to the student the interplay between statutory environmental law and its important common law-based tort counterpart. Although toxic tort litigation issues are covered, this course offers far broader exploration of the intersections of tort law and environmental harm that courses that focus narrowly on toxic tort issues.
