SUBSTANTIVE COVERAGE AND OBJECTIVES OF COURSE:

Objective: To produce competent practitioners using a guided approach to legal research, legal drafting, and legal analysis; emphasis on substance and form of legal documents, the process of legal research, and the analysis of legal issues.

 

RELATION TO OTHER OFFERINGS IN CURRICULUM:

Students will not succeed in law school or law practice without the ability to research and analyze legal issues, and effectively communicate their analysis to other attorneys and the court. Legal writing is a fundamental skill of law practice.

 

RELATION TO BAR EXAM SUBJECTS:

Success on the bar exam demands clearly written essays that adequately cover the analysis of the legal issues presented.
