General Notes
All A/V equipment can be controlled via the AMX control panel located on the workstation desktop. The only reason you may need to open the rack door is to insert a disc or tape. The equipment in the rack may be left on except for known periods of downtime (long weekends, vacations, etc.). During these known periods of downtime, the vendor suggests the equipment be turned off.

Control Functions
LCD Projector: The NEC projector is turned on and off by the buttons so labeled in the top left hand corner of the AMX panel. The projector should be turned off after each use to conserve bulb life. The projector will shut off automatically when left on, but unused, for two hours. Do not turn the projector on and off in quick succession. Once on, wait at least 30 seconds before turning off again. The wireless remote will not operate the projector. This projector has been hard wired to the AMX control panel.
IMPORTANT: If the projector turns itself off, it is overheated. When it is ready to be turned on again, a yellow light will be visible on the projector. To turn the projector on again, press the "ON" button of the AMX panel. THE PROJECTOR WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY TURN ITSELF ON AFTER IT HAS COOLED DOWN. IT MUST BE MANUALLY TURNED ON.
Motorized Screen: The screen may be controlled via the up and down arrows located on the AMX panel below the projector buttons.
Wireless Mics: There are wireless microphones. Be sure to turn them off and the volume controls down when not in use. The mic volume can be adjusted with the control so labeled at the bottom left corner of the AMX panel. Rooms cam be combines and isolated on the AMX panel. Speakers in the rooms are permanently set.
To Play a Video Tape (VCR): Insert a tape into the VCR. Select VCR on the right hand row of AMX display buttons. Use the function buttons located next to this row of display buttons for play, fast forward, and rewind. Adjust the volume of the video program with the buttons labeled VCR volume on the bottom row of the AMX panel.
To Play a DVD: Open the DVD drawer with the eject button. Insert a disc. Close the drawer by pushing the play button. Select DVD with the AMX display buttons. Use the function buttons for play and stop. Adjust volume with the controls so labeled on the bottom row of the AMX panel.
